Kyle drives one and two-fifths hours to visit his grandmother when he takes the new expressway, which has made his trip one-third as long as it used to be. How long did his trip take before the expressway was built?

hero (hero):

Basically, the trip used to take x hours, but because of the new highway, it takes one-third hours less than it did originally which equates to one and two-fifths hours. So solve the following: \[x - \frac{x}{3} = 2 \frac{1}{5}\]
