Choose the correct statement about the given Venn Diagram. A total of 16 people were surveyed. Everyone surveyed like popcorn and candy. 3 people surveyed like both popcorn and candy. A total of 7 people like candy.
What Venn Diagram?
Because 3 people are in the intersection, 3 people liked popcorn and candy.
...and 7 people like candy....
Are we only allowed one correct answer?
is it the third one ?
Yes, so I think it would be the third one... ...and maybe the fourth one too? I'm not sure.
But if I had to choose one, it would be the third one.
yeah only answer
right, there are three people who fall right in the middle, so that would mean that they like both candy and popcorn
@Jamierox4ev3r that's a good way of explaining it.
however the reason why it is not everyone liked popcorn and candy is because there are two counts that are outside the Venn Diagram, and more than 7 people like candy because the three in the middle also like candy, so that would be 10
Does that make sense @shahbaaz786 ?
Sorry...I was confused about the middle.
but theres two right choices
no there is not? why do you think that @shahbaaz786 what is the other "right" choice?
ohh so t would be C
oh, the first choice! well that is not correct because 18 people were surveyed. Remember the two people on the outside?
Good job @shahbaaz786
yep thats right :D
does that make sense @shahbaaz786 ?
yeah
