What is one way to revise for word choice

thesaurus is my best friend lol. Look for words that you repeat constantly. Then go to a thesaurus and look up the synonyms for your words. Also look for words that are basic or boring like sad. Instead use depressed. Another thing if your talking about a specific person or thing that only has one thing to really call it change it up; if your talking about girl named Lilly use her name then say her, and she a couple times. Use the generics to make it a little bit fresher and not so boring. One ore thing go back and look if you can add in an adjective. So instead of saying " I lost my shoes." say "I lost my expensive shoes" or better y'et try saying something that will paint a complete picture in your audiences mind " I'm so stupid; I can't believe I lost my designer shoes. They were so expensive." Or if you don't like the word expensive and don't think that has enough voice try saying " Well that's $200 down the drain." for the last sentence. And you can even add in "My mom's going to kill me". I hope this helps a little bit and sorry about the shoe example couldn't really think of anything else.
