Part 1 : show all work in simplifying 9x^2-57x+34/3x^2-11x-34 (list restrictions) Part 2: use complete sentences to explain your process

OpenStudy (anonymous):

[9X² - 57X + 34 ]/ [3X² - 11X - 34] On factorising, we get: [(X-17/3)(X-2/3)] / [(X-17/3)(X+2)] Dividing both the numerator and the denominator by (X-17/3), we get: (X-2/3) / (X+2) We may further simplify the expression: (X-2/3) / (X+2) = (3X-2) / (3X+6) = 1 - [8 / (3X+2)] Restrictions: X cannot be equal to -2, because this would result in the denominator being zero, and hence an occurrence of division by zero.
