Dear King George III of Great Britain,
I am writing to you because we the colonists think your laws and rules are unfair. I write only after long thought about the many issues between us. Some issues and events of the last few years include freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and raising taxes unfairly.

You see, in the American colonies, we believe that the purpose of government is to represent the peoples and their needs. Government should establish known laws.
