How many cups of coffee were sold on the seventh day?


This is an arithmetic series with first term a=10 and common difference d=2.
7th term = a+(7-1)d
=a+6d
=10+(6)(2)
= 22

Okay, lets say that you have a job. At this particular job you earn 56 dollars an hr(that a great job you have, you actually earn more than me). Now this possible real world scenario can be modeled by the artihmetic sequence :
an=56n.

This means that i your worked 1 hour, you would earn 56 dollars.

Now can you figure out :
a7=56n
