What is a "Run-Ons". It has to do with commas I think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A run on sentence is a sentence that seems like it goes on forever and has no commas or periods of breath like commas.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That was an example of a Run- on sentence.

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

@derp982 your first sentence isn't considered a run-on. A pause or a full stop is not necessary; a comma (,) before the word "and" is not a matter of requirement, but a matter of style.
