can someone help how to graph a linear function by using point-slope form? ex. m=3 line passes through (1,-5)

OpenStudy (ankit042):

y= mx +c put (1,-5) in the equation and solve for c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ankit042 how do i graph it?

OpenStudy (ankit042):

It is a straight line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i just put the point (1,-5)? that's all?

OpenStudy (ankit042):

NO find the equation and other points. you can find value of y when x=0. Combine the two points with a straight line
