Look at the figure. What is the value of x? 95 50 75 80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the angle that is supplementary to the 75 degrees is 2x+5 so try this \[2x+5+75=180\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Angle DCG = Angle FCB = 75 degrees ( Vertically opposite angles are equal) Angle CBE + Angle FCB= 180 degrees ( Interior angles are supplementary) Angle CBE = 2x+5......... (1) Angle FCB =75 ...............(2) from 1 and 2 2x+5+75=180 2x+80=180 2x=180-80 2x=100 x=100/2 x=50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is your working

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@CaitlinN. you just need to take VOA and use the formula that sum of interior angles is 180 degrees much more simpler.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 50.u see ur angle c will be 180-75=150{linear pair}.so ur angle ebc=angle c{alternate angles}.so 2x-5=105 2x=100 so x=50. its simple ,if u still face prlm u can ask me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@domu What you did is also right but thereis much more simpler way see mine.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ipm1988 Agreed : ) nice solution!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look no matter how many times we post different ways to get the answer we still gonna get the same thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And THAT is why @papsmurf is papsmurf, telling it like it is xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks @domu
