Hmm, I got the right answer but typed the explanation incorrectly.
sin 45° = ground distance / 15
sin 45° * 15 = ground distance
0.70711 * 15 = ground distance
ground distance = 10.60665 feet
think I'll delete my second response.

Checked that with the Pythagorean Theorem 
10.60665² + 10.60665² = ladder length² 
225 = ladder length² 
ladder length = 15 feet
