A function takes in inputs. For each input, there is an associated output. The domain of the function is a list of all possible inputs. The range is a list of all possible outputs.
Traditionally, the different x-values will be the inputs and the different y-values will be the outputs.

domain is defined by all the values you can use going left and right range is defined to be al the value you can take going up and down
