Simplify 6^-2 by making the exponent positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to make a negative exponent positive you have to change its place-holder. Like from the denominator to the numerator or the opposite.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 1 over 6 to the power of 2 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes good job :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you help me with this question? "For the parent function y equals the cube root of x, what effect does the values h = -4 have on the graph?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and if the question asks you to simplify further you would simplify the 6 to the power of 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure, sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you should close this question and re-ask it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ALready did, thank you.
