Could someone give me a list of pros and cons of imperialism in China? I am doing a History report and need some major help. I am suppose to imagine I am a European citizen in the 1800s writing an editorial supporting imperialism in China and another rejecting imperialism in China.

The Europeans wanted  spheres of influence in China to get rich off the opium trade and create colonies in China. So one point that is for supporting imperialism in China is that it made your countries richer because of opium. Then for the against part you can say that it would lead to conflict with your countries intrests and the Chinese interests
