Below, AC is a diameter of circle O. A segment connecting points E and C is congruent to which of the following? http://secure.starssuite.com/files/geo2010/geom_14S_Fig10.jpg would it be ab im not too sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can use rules of inscribed angles and congruent triangles to arrive at your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but im still not too sure about the correct answer

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Congruent arcs have congruent chords.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so because AC is diameter of circle this mean that has 180 degree yes ? because 360/2 =180 so than you know again that arc AB has 110 degree so from this result that arc BC need being equal 70 degree

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

What is m(arc)BC?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

What is m(arc)DC?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

what mean BC = AE

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so this mean that EC = AB how you have supposed

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

right

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so do you understand it now ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i do thank !
