9-c=-13 Find c. Please show steps

OpenStudy (zale101):

Add 9 to both sides of the equation

OpenStudy (zale101):

that's all u need to do

OpenStudy (zale101):

after that, check the solution by substituting the answer you get in the original equation for x.

Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you aslo have to divide by negative one after you do that. that would be your fiinal answer.

OpenStudy (zale101):

no problem, u must know that In solving linear equations u need to solve for the unknown variable, you must isolate the variable

OpenStudy (zale101):

@Shantal325, that's not true unless you're dealing with multiplications division would be added if the problem looks like tis 9c=27 which is 3 cuz 9/27=3

OpenStudy (zale101):

or 2x-4=10 Add 4 to both sides of the equation and then divide both sides by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know I just couldn't figure out how to get the c on the left and the 9 on the right

OpenStudy (zale101):

which x=7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's -13

OpenStudy (zale101):

oh yeah
