Factor completely: 5a^2 + b

OpenStudy (loser66):

I really don't know how to factor it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it a^2??

OpenStudy (loser66):

@thomaster

thomaster (thomaster):

you can't factor it

OpenStudy (loser66):

I think so, too.

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

yes sorry its a^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

th8 so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

taking into consideration that a quad polynomial is of the form ax^2+bx+c...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On comparing ax^2+bx+c and 5a^2+b,we get a=5,b=0,c=b..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use this in the quadratic formula and get ur answer.Cheers!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh yes.!!....First equate your polynomial to 0,to turn it into an equation,if u wanna use factorising method!!
