Find the measure of angle N

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

let's see what's the sum of interior angles for a polygon => \(\bf (sides -2 ) \times 180\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

540

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

that's a pentagon, 5 sides, thus (5-2)* 180 => 3*180 = 540

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

at the bottom of the shape, we have 2 90 degrees ones so the remaining 3 angles sum is 540-(2 * 90) = 360

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

and we know those angles sum add up to 360 then so the angles are 17x+4 10x-10 and 18x+6 thus ( 17x+4 ) + ( 10x-10 ) + ( 17x+4 ) = 360 # solve for "x" then replace in 18x+6 to get angle N

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

darn, talk about typos :(

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

( 17x+4 ) + ( 10x-10 ) + ( 18x+6 ) = 360

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

replace in 18x+6 to get angle N :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

150

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

:)
