Been a contributor to this site and the earlier versions for about 2 years now.

Never posted a problem until today and what a disaster it's been. Countdown timers appear on the screen, edit buttons and I don't know what.

I'll be 69 years old this month, August. In the old days the phrase, Tom, wingspan and Harry was not considered offensive. Now OpenStudy takes offense at the word wingspan and it's being replaced by a
sequence of characters of your selection.

Changed the word to wingspan to Ed and it still doesn't fly.

Any constructive advice to a new rookie?

Well, they are looking to block things like, "Don't `[CENSORED]` me around!" The problem is these systems are notoriously problematic... especially on a site that allows people to help one another edit college level papers!

What they really need is to fix the sign up system, ban system, etc. so that abusers can be policed in other ways.

I wonder if `Tom, wingspan, and Harry` works. vs. Tom, wingspan, and Harry.
