What are the x intercepts of f(x)= x+7 / x^2 +5x -3 ?

All you need to do is set the numerator equal to 0 and solve for x. The reason you do not solve for x in the denominator is because those values only will find you asymptotesor holes in the graph, which is not what we want. So basically, set x + 7 = 0 and solve for x.
