You need to be working on your ability to understand and answer questions about specific aspects of texts. You needs to start being able to recognise features of different types of texts. You need to be able to find the main message the author is trying to communicate. And you need to start making sure you can understand, recognise and give examples of a range of simple language features like similes, metaphors, personification, onomatopoeia and alliteration.
