Flvs questions. Will give medal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did anyone take the Module 10 FLVS DBA? Was it hard? How were some of the questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in what subject?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh sorry, ALGEBRA 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh yea its not hard what do you need help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My DBA(oral test) is at 12 pm and I have no clue what to do or like i think how to describe the graphs and stuff :/ Do you know some of the questions your teacher asked?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like can you explain to me that I would understand lol this: parabola, circle, ellipse and hyperbola That what it is about

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is something i dont know lol i took it last year.. :l usually i just kept a window up in the flvs tab of the review so just in case i didnt know what to do i still had back up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh so like she will want you to explain what about those things?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah she told me she would like give me equations and I would need to determine why it is either a parabola, circle, ellipse and hyperbola and why it is that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh well what i did was take notes on what determines that and kept it near so i knew.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok do you know how to determine them differently?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you for your help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just a sec im in my notes :) and no problem!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If x² and y² both have the same coefficients like x² + y² or 3x² + 3y², then it is a CIRCLE. If x² and y² both have different coefficients that have the same sign, like 4x² + 9y², or x² + 16y², then it is an ELLIPSE. If x² and y² have different signs, like 25x² - 9y², or 16y² - x², then it is a HYPERBOLA. If the equation has either x² and y², but not both, then it is a PARABOLA.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are a life savior ty so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem! :) glad i could help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like i have a feeling that i will do good on the DBA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Glad i could help! lol good luck!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
