No it is in fact the newton's first law of motion.Let me explain: I assume you are already familiar with the concept of "inertia'.So in this situation,initially your body was in motion,then you bumped and stopped.But the inertia of the body while in motion tends to resist the change and hence it tries to move the body forward...It is similar to when you are in a car and as it turns left,your body tends to move right.
