Answer Check please?Determine whether the vectors u and v are parallel, orthogonal, or neither. u = <6, 4>, v = <-9, 8> I got neither

OpenStudy (loser66):

how do you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, it doesnt equal zero so i know its not orthogonal, but i watched a vide o before and it said if their not multiples its not parallel o,o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know x.x

OpenStudy (ankit042):

do the dot product of two vectors for orthogonal test for parallel condition u=kv <6,4>=k<-9,8> now 6 =-9k and 4 =8k no such K possible hence it is not parallel either

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, it is neither? because when i did the dot product i got -18?

OpenStudy (ankit042):

Yes!

OpenStudy (ankit042):

for parallel condition you can also do cross product test

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thankyou(:
