I am not sure if I did this correctly...can somebody check my answer.....

A certain sum of money was shared between three friends, A,B, and C. A received 3/7 of the money B got 2/3 of A C received $49 less then A I got the total money to equal 343 ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{3}{7}x+\frac{3}{7}\times \frac{2}{3}x+\frac{3}{7}x-49=x\] does that look right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes....I set it up like that....except I got B = 6/21x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow i hope so because \(343\) is the solution !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh good...I wasn't sure....thanks for checking
