how can i factor this: ? :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15x^2-116x-32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can use quadratic formula\[x=\frac{ b ^{2}\pm \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac} }{ 2a }\] \[a=15 b= -116 c=-32\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if \[D= \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac}<0\rightarrow No Roots , Cannot be factored\] \[D= \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac}>0\rightarrow 2 Roots , Cant be factored\] \[D= \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac}=0\rightarrow 1 Root , Can be factored\]

i found the critical point..... x=-8/3 and x=4/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my mistake the quadratic formula is \[x=\frac{ b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac}}{2a }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got x=8 and x=-4/15 factors are (x-8)(15x+4) \[x \frac{ -4 }{ 15}\] \[15x=-4\] \[15x+4=0\]
