(-3,5),slope=-2

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

I bet you want to find the equation of a line. Do you know the point-slope formula?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

\(y – y_1 = m(x – x_1)\) where you have the slope m and point \((x_1,y_1)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I usually do y=mx+b and plug in (-3, 5) so 5=-2*(-3)+b so b=-1 y=-2x-1

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

That works too.
