another question.. please help me..
Is that a test? And which problem?
oyes.. am.. all.. if you want..
If that is a test then you are missing the point of this website. It is for studying and learning not "getting answers" and especially not for during a test.
no.. i mean .. it is a previous test of ours.. :)) ^____^
Ohhhh. Sorry I didn't mean to jump down your thoat... :-0
hahhaha .. it's okay. :))
Ok let's look at the digit problem. In digit problems we usually use t=ten's digit, u= one's digit (h=hundred's if we had one but since this is only 2 digit we don't need it.)
It says the "unit's digit is 3 greater than the ten's digit". How do you write that as an equation?
u = 3 + t ??
Good job!
Now the next part is the hard part because it talks about "the number". THis is confusing when we are dealing with digit. Do you know how to express "the number" using t and u?
amp, nope po. :(
ok well if t is the tens unit how much is each tens digit worth.? In other words if I write 68. How much is the 6 really standing for?
hundreds?
ayy.. im wrong .. :) 60?
Right so ... What do you do to the 10's digit to get its actual value?
amp.. i don't know how to explain .. but I know that is 60.. because it in the tens' place value .. am, maybe.. add 0 to the number??
ok you are on the right track...what do you have to do to the number 6 to make it 60? And you can't just say add a 0. You have to add subtact, multiply or divide something to 6 to get 60.
hahahah .. i don't understand..
Wait let's play a game... I am going to give you a number and you have to change it into a new number using only +, - x and divide ok...
hahaha .. okay.. :)) game!
4 now turn it into 40 (only using +, - x or /) 4 _____ ______ = 40
wait.. i don't get your point.. hahaha .. sorry, i'm a slow one.. how will I use the 4 operations? give example please..
