2x + y = 9 for y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get the y on one side and everything else on the other side by subtracting 2x from both sides. Can you do that ?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

2x+y=9 -2x -2x -------- y=-2x+9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. y = 1/2 x - 9 b. y = 18 c. y = 9 - 2x d. y = 2x

these are the options

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

Jamie literary gave you the answer. >_> Its one of the answer choices.

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

but i did show a process (kinda) y=-2x+9 is also equal to..... Hint: flip the slope and y-intercept around...
