A circle has a diameter of 6 millimeters. What are the circumference and area of the circle? Use three point one four for pi. Round to the nearest tenth. i just need this to be explained? eighteen point eight millimeters; twenty-eight point three square millimeters nine point four millimeters; one hundred thirteen point zero square millimeters eighteen point eight millimeters; one hundred thirteen point zero square millimeters nine point four millimeters; twenty-eight point three square millimeters

OpenStudy (aivantettet26):

D = 6 mm r = 3 mm Area = 3.14 x r^2 Circumference = 2 x 3.14 x r

OpenStudy (aivantettet26):

since the diameter is equal to 2r we divide D by 2 to get r hence D = 6 mm divide it by 2 r = 3 mm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you so multiply using that formula?

OpenStudy (aivantettet26):

yep A = 3.14 x (3)^2 C = 2 x 3.14 x 3

OpenStudy (aivantettet26):

compute
