In life of pi is there only one truth?

There is never only one truth...And in Pi even the protagonist had 2 truths. The truth varies from actor to actor with each having their version of truth. People have been discussing the nature of Truth forever. The real question is how many possible truths are there in the Life of Pi and how do those truths affect the reader. Pi asks in the movie: Which story do you prefer? and I think that is the essence of our perceived truths, simply ask yourself which do you prefer? From God:
