Which of the following is a good metaphor for a virus in the lysogenic cycle? A. A factory rapidly producing B. A space probe waiting to land C. A spy waiting for sabotage D. A woman giving birth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A ?

thomaster (thomaster):

Do you know what the lysogenic cycle is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is a viral reproduction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so maybe a woman giving birth would be one? because your repreducing?

thomaster (thomaster):

Not really like a woman giving birth. The virus hides untill many infected cells divided along with the virus' genetic material and then develops in disease

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then it would be C right?

thomaster (thomaster):

Yea i would say C too A would be when the viral reproduction is activated B would be when the virus is waiting to come in contact with a host cell and D is just an option to distract you from the real answer i guess :P
