DEATH IDK LOL Zale u were so right

OpenStudy (zale101):

One of the themes of the hunger games is how people are trying to seek equality between the poor and the rich. The government (capitol) has mostly all the wealth while the citizens live in a poor life. The capitol are the rich and the citizens are the poor. In book one, the citizens live in poverty, people can't find anything to eat. One example is Katniss, she gets her food by hunting. Even though, Peeta works at the bakery, he himself is poor and struggles to live. Also, the reaping in the hunger games indicates how the rich can escape while the poor can't. You can give the capitol food, materials or anything to exchange for ur name on the reaping. But those who are poor, can't afford that much to give to the capitol, so they place their name instead. If ur name get chosen, you get to go to the hunger games and fight to death. The struggle to find equality for the rich and the poor is the best theme i can think of that covers book 1 of the hunger games.
