Two systems of equations are given below. For each system, choose the best description of its solution. If applicable, give the solution. x+3y-9=0 -x-3y=-9

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

try solving it so I know what you are not understanding or failing to comprehend.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand it at all I don't know what to do @nincompoop

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Since the two equations describe EXACTLY the same relationship, there are infinitely many solutions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tkhunny yes but i need to write it in a formula such as y=mx+b

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Write what? If there is no solution, you cannot write it in that form. It doesn't exist. If there is a single solution, the form is (a,b), not y = mx+b Since there are infinitely many solutions, simply delete one of the duplicate equations and you will be done.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but its telling me there is a equation @tkhunny
