3x^2-15x-72=0 I have it to the point of 3(x^2-5x-24) =0 But I don't know !*!=-5 that also adds up to -24

When you divide the equation by 3, you have to remember to divide -72 by 3 also. (-72/3 = -24)
Which I did
You have it backwards ... you want something *something = -24 and something +something =-5
so maybe 8 and -3 then?
