Find k if the lines 3x-5y=9 and 2x+ky=11 are a.parallel b.perpendicular

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isolted both 'y's', then you'll get a hint

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would I isolate the y

hero (hero):

Well, you should decide which you want to figure out first, part a or part b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lets say I want to solve part a first how would I start

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you isolated y ( which ill leave to you ) if the number next to x ( called the slope), is the same for both equestions, the lines are parallel. If one is a flip of the other and with the opposite sign, the lines are perpendicular

hero (hero):

@Luis_Rivera she wanted to know how to isolate y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then stop staring at the question and show her

hero (hero):

I don't even know why you're here bro. You have no intention of helping her.
