A value of "k" that is greater than zero translates the parent function f(x)=log(x) up. True or false?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Needs more info on what/where k is...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesn't say.

hero (hero):

Perhaps they're referring to f(x) = log(x) + k

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I assume that's it. Do you think adding a positive number on the end, where k is, will translate the graph up?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Think of the graph of x^2... what happens if you change it to x^2 + 2? Now imagine the same thing with log(x)... what happens if you change it to log(x) + 2?
