Simplify the expression Cot(x)sin(x)-sin((pi/2) -x) + cos(x) choices are cos x sin x 2 sin x 2 cos x

OpenStudy (mandre):

It's a case of finding and applying the right identities. If you don't have a sheet of identities close at hand or easy access to it then I suggest you get that.

@Mandre i do, ive got it down to 2cos(x)-1-sin(x) but thats not one of my choices and im not sure about where to go from here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin(90-x)=cosx.this -cosx will cancel with +cosx.so what you have left is cotxsinx.now cotx=cosx/sinx...sinx will be cancelled and you get cosx

OpenStudy (mandre):

I don't care about medals. I just like to help where I can.

good for ya i helped where i could :)

OpenStudy (mandre):
