Precalc Question solve 2sin(2x) - 2sin x + 2 sqrt(3) cos x - sqrt(3) = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Try using the double angle formula on sin(2x) and then factoring

OpenStudy (fifciol):

2sin(2x)=4sinxcosx ; factor out 2sinx and sqrt3 so that you'll have: 2sinx(2cosx-1) +sqrt3(2cosx-1) now factor 2cosx-1

OpenStudy (avanti):

so would it be 2sinx 2cosx-1(1) + (sqrt3)? am i supposed to solve for x from here or is that my answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It'd be \[(2\sin x +\sqrt{3})(2\cos x-1)=0\] from which, you set each factor equal to 0 and solve for x.

OpenStudy (avanti):

got it thank you so much
