I've leaned that the amount of significant figures you take in your answer is small amount of significant figures given from the information or where the figures become doubtful. So yes 113.2 would be it if following the definition I was were given.
Well I belive I'm right. This is what I've learned so well hope your teacher also consider it right.
Hehe well let me say it this way: in my time on the university non of my professors have complained.
it seems right, in your answer you use the same amount of the number with the least significant digits
but i honestly never really liked or cared to do that lol
well my inorganic teacher simply toke 1 point from our test if we did not write significant figures right... that is what made the difference between an A and a B.
so I simply just do it without thinking about it :P
haha yeah i got a few marks off every now and then.. i round my answer most of the time, but it's only at the end, like the last equation of the problem
Sounds like what I do or in the middle calculations I try give so many rational numbers I can... more accurate in the end and don't look like crap most of the time.
or irational.
yeah keeping it in fractions is good, it keeps the value accurate. any who, i'ma go eat man
Bon Appétit
