What are the statements below describing? Let be a rotation angle. Then sin is the y-coordinate of the image of point P(1, 0) rotated º about the origin, and cos is the x-coordinate.

Is there any way to clarify the statements? From what I can tell it is describing the unit circle. Or rather an angle on the unit circle.
