Intro. to Linear Algebra 4th edition, Question#35: For B, how do we arrive at the conclusion that B^4=I if the eigenvalues of B^4 are 1,1? Thank you.

well if the eigenvalues are merely \(1\)s that means our transformation is an isometry... what else do you know?
