A simple random sample of size 10 is taken from a class of 35 students, 18 of whom are female. State the probability distribution of X, the number of females in the sample. Show that the recursion formula for p(x) is given by p(x+1)=((18-x)(10-x))/((x+1)(8+x))*p(x) and hence find the most probable number of females in the sample.
