Using clues from the context has improved my reading and understanding different stories, passages, or articles that I read. If I do not understand a word, I can figure out what it means by looking at the words around it and what the passage is about. ..... quick question, what does your lesson say the definition of connotation is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me check hold on okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The connotation of a word or phrase is what it suggests. This is a feeling or memory that many people associate with the word.
