The law of exponent said that if you divide 2 numbers like x^5 and x^3. Then you would subtract the exponent. The base stays the same. So 5 - 3 = 2. The exponent is 2. And the base is x. So the answer to the EXAMPLE is x^2. Luis got the answer right.
