Both were the leaders of their respective countries Both were assassinated by people who thought they were doing the best thing for their nation The assassination attempts occurred in public, they both later died of their injuries.

Also Caesar was given a note as a warning, however he choose not to read until later which was obviously to late. Abe in a way knew people would come after him. One difference is that Caesar was stabbed by more than one person, where as Abe was killed by one known person. There are suspicions of other people.
