Find the number of 5-card draw poker hands which contain 4 kings

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We have 5 cards. 4 of them are the kings...the only kings in a 52 card deck. So all we have to do is count the possibilities for the 5th card. How many possibilities are there for that 5th card?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In other words, if I take the 4 kings out of the 52 card deck, how many cards are left to choose from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

48

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correct. make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But then how many hands with 4 kings do i have

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could have KKKK2of hearts KKKK2 of spades KKKK 2 of diamonds KKKK 2 of clubs KKKK 3 of hearts etc etc etc There will be 48 possible combinations like this since there are 48 possibilities for the 5th card
