OpenStudy (goformit100):

Find the number of 4-digit numbers (in base 10) having non-zero digits and which are divisible by 4 but not by 8.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, think about what the last 2 digits have to be.

OpenStudy (goformit100):

How to do it @mary.rojas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Last 2 digits have to be 12 28 36 44 52 68 76 84 92 or 98

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All of those are divisible by 4, but not 8 and none of them use zeros

There are 9 possibilities for the first digit of the 4 digit number 9 possibilities for the 2nd number And, as I've shown 9 possibilities for the last 2 numbers 9x9x9=729
