Why is hormones required for pancreas to release its juice?

Because without the hormones (cholecystokinin and secretin) the pancreas juice won't be produced/released.

Cholecystokinin: secreted in the duodenum and synthesized in the mucosal epithelium. Secretin: secreted in the duodenum and synthesized in the crypts of lieberkühn. Gastrin: secreted in the stomach and synthesized in the stomach antrum, duodenum and pancrease
