I NEED HELP! The area of a rectangle is the product of width and length. If a rectangle has length 18mthe square root of 5 times m. and width the square root of 4 times m., which of the following is the area of the rectangle? 36mthe square root of 5 times m. 36m2the square root of 5. 72mthe square root of 5 times m. 72m2the square root of 5.
Where are you stuck?
I need help solving it i dont know what to do
As the question says.. area is the product of width and length.. and you're given the values of length and width.. so you just need to multiply them.
alright I did and got 80m which isn't any of the choices
would it be B or D?
ok your length is 18*(sqrt5)m and your width is 4m.. multiplying these.. 18*4*(sqrt5).. what do you get?
i got 160 with my calculator
eh.. 18*4*sqrt5=72*sqrt5.. you must be mistyping something.
so it's C?
D.. The units of area is m^2..
thank you!
Cheers!
