Where are you stuck?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need help solving it i dont know what to do

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

As the question says.. area is the product of width and length.. and you're given the values of length and width.. so you just need to multiply them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright I did and got 80m which isn't any of the choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be B or D?

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

ok your length is 18*(sqrt5)m and your width is 4m.. multiplying these.. 18*4*(sqrt5).. what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 160 with my calculator

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

eh.. 18*4*sqrt5=72*sqrt5.. you must be mistyping something.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it's C?

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

D.. The units of area is m^2..

thank you!

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

Cheers!
