After glycolysis, fermentation occurs and acts on the two pyruvates. The 2 pyruvates is then converted into lactate in human muscle cells, ethanol in alcohol yeast) to make NAD+ for glycolysis. Carbon is oxidized (cellular respiration) carbon is reduced (lactate fermentation)
